The digital hourglass offers the simplicity of an hourglass by starting the count down as soon as it is turned over. Unlike a sand hourglass, the duration of the count down is adjustable between 1 second and 100 minutes. As the timer counts down, "digital sand" flows from the upper to the lower part. This gives a reading at a glance of time remaining. Time elapsed and remaining is also shown. Repeated identical timing operations only require inverting the hourglass, but different times can be easily toggled in. Use as a conventional timer is possible. One button cell battery is included.

A unique and very useful timer, featuring a clear human voice. Eliminate the need to continually visually check time remaining via voice announcements that can be heard from anywhere in the lab. This allows you to concentrate on the experiment you are timing rather than on the timer. In the countdown mode, Talking Timer will announce the remaining time every hour. In the final hour it will announce the time remaining every 10 minutes, every minute in the final 10 minutes, and every second in the final 10 seconds. The audible countdown gives you time to return to your experiment and be prepared for the final alarm.
