POM jar
The EasyDip™ slide staining system has two components, a square staining jar and a 12‐position vertical slide staining rack. Jars can be loosely joined to each other laterally, ensuring they are kept in the same order when moved around on the lab counter. They are available in five different colours to help identify contents or applications.
The EasyDip™ staining jar, being made from acetal plastic, will not break like most glass jars do. It resists attacks from most staining reagents including alcohol and xylenes but not phenols. The wide base offers greater stability while the inside is recessed, allowing for a smaller reagent volume of only 80mL. Ideal for frozen sections, small jobs and special processes.
Dimensions: 64mm x 76mm x 92mm
The EasyDip™ slide staining rack holds up to 12 slides of 25 x 75mm or 26 x 76mm with a thickness of 1.0 to 1.2mm. These racks are safe at temperatures up to 120°C. The lid completely covers the EasyDip™ slide staining jar to minimise spills and evaporation. The handle is permanently attached to the rack for easy insertion or removal of the slide. The base of the rack is placed in the vertical position to ensure the slides are in place, and are rotated sideways for easy slide removal.

For TEM grids
These silicone rubber pads have a series of cut slots. When the pad is curved along the slots' axis, they open up and grids may be inserted. Pads hold grids vertically and single drops of staining solution can be applied to one or both sides of the grids. Washing by "flooding" or "irrigation" is safe and time effective. Vertical grid position reduces contamination. PSTlogo indicates top of pad and direction of slots.
Designed to handle up to 25 grids at one time or as few as a single one.
Features
- Greatly reduces the chance of mechanical damage
- Ensures equal staining and rinse times
- Simple alpha-numeric system for easy identification of each grid.
The plastics used are not acid resistant and the staining vessels are designed for aqueous solutions or stains dissolved in either ethanol or methanol. The Grid Staining Matrix System consists of four components: the staining matrix body with handle; matrix cover and two staining vessels.
Volume of stain required:
21 - 25 grids 11mL
16 - 20 grids 9mL
11 - 15 grids 7mL
06 - 10 grids 5mL
01 - 05 grids 3mL
How to use:
A. Remove the cover from the body and load the number of grids to be stained in the wells in the body. Start with the bottom row first and fill completely before moving to the next row.
B. Slide the cover over the body until the handle on the cover engages with the retaining pin on the handle of the body. You may need to gently lift the cover handle with a fingernail so that it will slide over the retaining pin and lock.
C. Place the matrix into an empty staining vessel. Add the appropriate volume of stain for the number of grids being processed by allowing the stain to flow down the inside of the vessel, using a pipette or similar tool. To remove trapped air in a grid containing well, move the matrix forward and then backward in the staining vessel. This will pull the trapped bubbles out of the wells. Be careful not to spill reagents during this process.
D. Rinsing grids in the matrix can be done in beakers or by using the staining vessel after it has been cleaned.

High humidity
An ideal device for immunohistochemistry slide staining/ treatments and whenever specimens are stained for lengthy periods without drying and with only drops of solution. The StainTray™ has a black base made from tough ABS plastic, withstanding a wide range of chemicals (except chlorinated hydrocarbons). It will accept up to 20 slides on four plastic rails covered with a polymer strip, which grips the slides even if the tray is held at an angle. When humidity is needed, the wells between the rails will hold the water securely without splashing. Rails are raised not only to avoid water touching the slides but also make the slides more easily retrievable. The base will also catch excess stain solution that drips from the slides. Four rubber feet make the base more stable. Units are stackable to save space.
This tray is not only suitable for routine staining requiring a humid chamber but is also ideal for haematology, cytology and microscopy laboratories.
Two covers are available:
A clear cover, allowing for visual examination. Made from PETG with a temperature range of ‐20°C to 60°C.
A black cover for fluorescent work. Made from ABS with a temperature range of ‐80°C to 80°C.
Dimensions with the cover
20‐Slide unit: 380 x 240 x 45mm.

Separate lids ‐ ask
This is a low‐cost, high precision moisture chamber for ten slides. Every moisture chamber is divided into ten individual compartments with approximately 12.7mm empty space between the compartments. When the chamber lid is closed, eight barrier dividers are placed into the empty spaces between the microscope slide compartments completely isolating all compartments. This is a very desirable feature when doing immunostaining.
The microscope slides are placed on four pedestal posts and four corner posts each 11.5mm high, thus raising the surface of the slides approximately 12.7mm off the floor to keep the slides away from the water below and making the slides easily retrievable (either by hand or by forcep).
The chamber is fabricated out of heavy‐duty polystyrene with an air‐tight design to keep moisture in. The chamber is designed to be stackable in order to save counter and/or refrigerator space.
Available in clear, black and amber.
