Tough-Tags® are chemically inert polyester labels which adhere strongly to all plastics and other materials. They are temperature resistant from 121°C to -40°C. These labels will withstand autoclaving, boiling water baths, freezer temperatures, organic solvents, caustic agents and other challenges without peeling, cracking or falling off. For best adhesion it is recommended that siliconised surfaces be avoided.
Tough-Tags® are precut, peel-off labels which accept any marking instrument and are perfectly sized to fit microcentrifuge tubes and other containers in the laboratory. Tubes with Tough-Tags® wrapped around them will slide easily in and out of rotors. Labels are thin and the adhesive does not migrate from behind the label even after boiling and autoclaving.

Cryo-Tags® and Cryo-Babies® are made of flexible polyolefin labels and they withstand conventional and cryogenic storage conditions (vapour and liquid phase nitrogen storage at -196°C ). They are chemically inert with a solvent resistant acrylic adhesive which adheres to most plastics, glass and metals. They withstand boiling water baths at 100°C and dry heat up to 150°C without cracking, peeling or degrading.
The labels resist most detergents and oils, as well as many organic solvents, caustic agents and other challenges without peeling. They resist water soaking for at least 24 hours at room temperature and water vapour (100% relative humidity) at 35°C for at least 24 hours.
The label sheets are specially designed to permanently accept laser printing.
Sheet size is 216 x 279mm (US Letter size when printing).
The rainbow pack includes 4 sheets each of blue, green, red and yellow.
100% Virgin polypropylene tubes are recommended. Avoid the use of siliconised surfaces.

Temperature Resistant ‐ From ‐196°C to 80°C
These labels adhere to Cryotubes (page Y‐1) and small centrifuge tubes.
Save Time ‐ Pre‐printed Tough‐Spots with numbers 1 to 10, make labelling and identifying samples quick and easy. Use the numbered Tough‐Spots to identify a series of samples ‐ no handwriting or printing needed.
Colour Coded ‐ Each colour coded ToughSpot has a distinctly different colour to identify similar samples and also includes a white area to add notes.
Contents of vials under labels remain visible. Temperature-resistant from -196°C to 70°C. Cryo-Clear™ labels remain fully adhered down to -196°C (liquid and vapour phase nitrogen).
Durable - Chemically inert labels resist most organic solvents and caustic agents. Labels adhere to plastics*, glass and metals without cracking, peeling or degrading.
Laser printable - Label sheets are specially top-coated to accept laser printing and other markings. Heat-resistant, stay-flat sheets will not jam in laser printers.
Innovative - Made with a flexible, vinyl label material and permanent acrylic adhesive. This unique combination expands and contracts together as temperatures fluctuate resulting in a strong and sustained adhesive bond.
* NOTE: Siliconised surfaces should be avoided. Apply to clean, dry tubes at room temperature. Tubes made of 100% virgin polypropylene are recommended.
Sheet size is 216 x 279mm (US Letter size when printing).
The 25 x 25mm cryo labels are ideal for microscope slides, 80 labels per sheet.
These labels withstand liquid N2 and autoclaving - see Cryo-Babies®
Labels for wet and frozen surfaces, in 4 sizes to cater for most needs.

For adhesion of SEM specimens
Very convenient self-adhesive tabs. May be applied to the surface of SEM specimen mounts, then with the backing peeled off, a sticky surface remains for mounting specimens. Sticky tabs provide a good, clean method for collecting samples in the field. Also useful for mounting photographs.
Dimensions: 21 x 11mm.
For adhesion of SEM specimens
Adhesive tabs similar to the above sticky tabs. These offer a smoother background with a higher strength adhesive. These tabs leave a flat and complete circle of adhesive that is more suitable for holding small particles in place and are recommended for gunshot residue testing.
500 tabs/roll, 16 x 13mm.
Adhesive paper
Supplied on a tape roll and are peeled off as needed. There are 1000 dots per roll. Each dot is with the radiation symbol on a yellow background. Colour coding complies with the OSHA regulations.
For adhesion of SEM specimens
May be used in place of conductive adhesives in certain applications. 30µm thick. 35µm conductive glue on one side and 40µm conductive glue on the other. Glue can be removed with ethyl acetate, ethanol or isopropanol. Temperature resistant up to 140°C. Small impurities of Si, Sb, Fe, Mg and Na may be found.
