Polypropylene tubes, polyethylene stoppers

Polypropylene and polycarbonate
High speed centrifuge tubes with round bottom, moulded from polypropylene or polycarbonate.They are thick-walled and strong enough to be used up to 50,000 x G. They can be autoclaved, however, repeated autoclaving of PC tubes reduces their mechanical strength.

Polystyrene
Glass-clear polystyrene test tubes. Supplied without lids/ stoppers - 13mm caps are available. The loose fitting cap LCB38 is suitable for LCB04; volume 8mL. Polystyrene is glass clear, hard and is resistant to most acids and alkalis. It is not autoclavable and does not resist a large range of organic solvents.

Polyethylene
Polyethylene is familiar from milk bottles and is used in these very economical tubes. PE is highly solvent resistant and translucent. It is not autoclavable.
